Damn this is freakin cool! I'm finding some serious mistakes I made, but at the same time seeing some really good choices too. I gotta say, doing this commentary stuff is a learning tool! I highly rec doing this. Gotta say thanks to _beetle_ and penne4m for asking me to do this. I'm learning a lot about why I do the things I do in my writing.

On the new fic front:

I've been bitten by some plot bunnies, but they're little nibblers from outside what I normally write (characterwise, fandom still the same). Maybe after the new year. I still have NOTHING on paper for my Africander piece, have no idea what I want to say in that or how I'm gonna execute it. Probably be a solo Xander piece, which given my drabbles, I should be in his head for, I guess. Who knows.

Would you believe I have some Andrew email type stuff I wanna write??? WTF!!! Andrew?!?! email format?? Am I crazy?? Yeah. But it is all gonna have to wait. HOLIDAYS.*rolls eyes*

Ok, so the other day I posted a thing. I basically said that if any of my flisties wanted commentary on any of my fics, that they should reply with which fic they wanted explained. *eyes flisties* You guys. I thought more would take the bait. *rolls eyes* Anyway, _beetle_ finally said she'd like to see my thoughts on After Midnight.

For anyone who didn't read it (this is a warning people!), it's dark, has lots of badness and Angelus/Xander/Spike. Some character death, torture, implicit non-con and other elements that make it not everyone's cup of tea. But my lovely asked for it, and so she shall get my commentary on it.

I've seen this giong around, and thought "hey. I bet some people are curious about my stories too!"

so, I am offering my commentry to those that are interested. Select one of my stories
from My Fic in my memories and reply to this and I'll do my commentary for them over the next week or so.

I think it'd be nice to go over motivations for what I wrote just to examine my own writing process and get it into concrete terms.
