Dudes. Flist. *stands up*

I am a conservative. (do not confuse that with Republican, please). I firmly believe that the central government is organized by and comprized of citizens who represent, not control, other citizens. I am greatly concerned at the path that both the Bush administration AND the Obama administration have taken with regards to individuals' and states' autonomy.

And it appears that I am not alone: States' Rights activists say Florida must assert its sovereignty

36 states have similar resolutions on file. Holy. Crap.

The SC Governor who disappeard (yup, the one who was off in Argentina fuckin' his mistress??) said he was 'stressed out' about having to accept the federal regulations and obligations that came with accepting the stimulus package monies.

Governor Perry of Texas? Well, we all know what he did right? Whoa. the grassroots movement that got Obama elected - or one similar to it - is mobilizing again. What I find interesting is that the people behind this state's rights activism SEEM like conservatives and republicans, but speak out againt the Bush administration's policies just as harshly as they do against the current one. Wow.

This country is in for a seachange. I'm excited, anticipating what will happen.
