SGA bunny free to good home
Okay. Here's this thing I've been thinking about today.
Someone (Radek, Simpson, I don't care) discovers quite by accident that Atlantis has surveilance cameras - not just sensors, but actual data producing cameras stashed ALL OVER the CITY. He - whoever - decides that it's not worth mentioning to the command staff, because using it is just not something any of them are willing to do. Cue the Marines - or more precisely Major Lorne. Lorne thinks that the cameras would be excellent for security purposes, so he creates a duty roster of soldiers who, when not out exploring Pegasus, will be monitoring - for training purposes or whatever - Atlantis' security cameras.
Now.
In one of these monitoring sessions, one of the guys happens to catch John and Rodney in a pre-slashy, but definitely suspicious moment in the hallway and the speculations rise. Eventually, bets are taken as to where and when the CMO and CSO will fess up and come out, so to speak.
The soldiers who monitor the cameras in shifts create "THE LOG" of places and events of the McShep development. The log and the bets become common knowledge to everyone EXCEPT John and Rodney, who are clueless about both their burgeoning relationship and the surveillance cams.
Eventually, it all comes out and John and Rodney realize what's been happening between them, and Teyla collects on the betting pool - but she has to share the pot with Ronon. :)
It's floating in my mind, and I wish I hade time to write it......*sigh*
